Summer Beauty Allium

Allium tanguticum ‘Summer Beauty’

I am a big fan of plants you can plant and forget about, but look like you have dedicated your summer to their success.  One such plant is Summer Beauty Allium, it is as trouble-free as they come.  It has lavender-pink, globe shaped flowers which float above clean, strappy foliage in midsummer. The attractive seed heads can remain, to extend the season of interest, as the plant is sterile – with no threat of spreading.

Companions:  Calamintha, Catmint, Prairie Dropseed
