Gal Behind the Garden: Carol Henle

Carol Henle, Bookkeeper
Joined the Team: September 2007

Day-to-day activities on the job:

A little bit of everything; processing job orders, time sheets, inventory, invoicing, answering the phone, looking up past client information for all our departments as needed…

Favorite plant & why:

Burning bush – I like the wood grain and the gorgeous fall coloring.

What does the purple polo mean to you?

Where did you get your green thumb?

I think it probably started back on the farm where I lived the first 20 years of my life.

Hidden talent:

I don’t think I have any hidden talents left at this point in time; seem to have shared them all.

Favorite food:

Macaroni and cheese.

Sewing, photography, RV camping (I’m a fan of nature but don’t do the tent camping anymore).

Favorite TV show:

Gray’s Anatomy

Celebrity garden crush:

Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island in Canada.

Favorite outdoor experience:

Scavenger hunt at Hitchcock Nature Center with all the grandkids.

Most neccesary landscape/gardening tool:

My hands.

Most important part of the garden:

The aura it emits as I am resting in my swing.

Sharing with fellow employees when a client has called with a compliment for them.

If you were in a pie eating contest what flavor would you choose?

Cherry – as long as I knew there were no seed pits in it!

Favorite gardening quote:

“God made rainy days so gardeners could get the housework done.” – Author Unknown
