June Outdoor Experiences | Kinghorn Gardens

June 2014 Calendar

Happy June! With summer in full swing it seems as though every week holds an outdoor experience or two. And with outdoor experiences being our speciality here at Kinghorn Gardens, we researched a few more to add to your June calendar!

  • June 6th – National Gardening Exercise Day: Now its up to you if this means yoga among the tulips, hauling a little mulch out to the backyard, or simply walking around your grounds; whatever you choose just get active!
  • June 7th – National Trails Day:  Experiencing nature outside your own backyard is always a treat and National Trails Day helps keep that possible! If you want to get involved follow the link and spend your Saturday at Lewis and Clark State Park!
  • June 10th – Iced Tea Day: Peach, raspberry, sweet or diet? Pour a tall glass, grab a good book and head to the porch.
  • June 15th – Father’s Day: Dad’s can’t wait to spend their special day with you outside! Take your woodsy father out for a hike or to the fishing hole, preppy dads hit the golf course, foodies grab something to grill, and don’t forget to wrap up his new tie!
  • June 18th – International Picnic Day: Grab a basket and head to the park or unfold a blanket in the backyard!
  • June 20th – National Flip Flop Day: Flip on your flops and evict your sock tan line!
  • June 21st – Summer Solstice Celebration: The official, scientific start of Summer! Eat a popsicle, throw homework in the air, and get plenty of sunshine.

And the Aksarben Farmer’s Market is open every Sunday just west of our 6464 Center St. design office.

What else do you have planned for this June? Remember to keep your garden involved! It wants to have a fun filled summer too!
