Places & Spaces: Tremendous Tree Planting | Kinghorn Gardens

TreePlanting6

Remember that awesome barrier free landscape that just used to be a blog post and a paper drawing?

TreePlanting5

Well now that project is up to bat! And the Purple Polos are bringing out the big guns to get the job done.

TreePlanting11

After planting a small forest to set the scene, the team prepped for the stars of the show, two 17 ft. Black Hills Spruce trees.

TreePlanting3

Of course posing with the tremendous trees was necessary – it’s not everyday you have access to an uprooted 6,600 lb. plant.

TreePlanting12

After borrowing some monster equipment from our lovely neighbors…

TreePlanting13

The big Kahuna was buckled up and ready for its trip across town.

TreePlanting10

Standing at over two and a half #PurplePoloPaparazzis tall this tree is sure to make an impact in it’s new home.

TreePlanting9

Trees with a 70 inch root ball take a little more than a garden spade to get in the ground…

TreePlanting7

And with some #PurplePolo hand shovel power, it’s finally time to plant!

TreePlanting1

Sweet, sweet success. After several hours of #PurplePolo teamwork, the 17 footer is finally home!
