It’s the most wonderful time of year! The holiday season is here and it’s time to dust off the Christmas china, polish up the heirloom ornaments and deck the halls with fresh spruce clippings. There’s only twenty-three more days to be festive and merry so you better start now!
Between the cookies, faux snow (or not-so-faux in Nebraska), and wintergreen sprigs be sure to remember all the other things that make the holidays great. Traditions with family, peaceful winter nights, watching the snow fall from inside a warm home, the cheerful “Merry Christmas” from the Salvation Army bell-ringer, the delight on a child’s face when you light the tree for the first time, and the feeling of hope for the next coming year.
Though the garland and candy canes are special and fun, the true wonder of the holiday season is in the way we spend it together. So make these next twenty three days count. Enjoy all the bells, nativity scenes, candle light services, fruitcake, warm hugs, carols, and celebrate the most wonderful time of year.
