Fall Container Inspiration | Kinghorn Gardens

The time of pumpkins, gourds, cinnamon sticks and grape vine has arrived! Fall is here and it’s time to celebrate as the trees put on their final show for the year. Each time the season changes our design team does some scholarly research (via Pinterest, Google searches, magazines, and our extensive idea book collection) gathering ideas for a creative direction for containers. Seasonal color and containers are a great way to add some pizazz to your garden and announce Fall!

After pulling up a few of their favorite fall plant material, focusing on size, scale, color, and texture, designers Anne Houser and Nate Huse, did some serious magazine shopping and clicked through several sites to get the creative juices flowing.

After much deliberation – and probably a Starbucks run – they landed on the theme of “A Scoop from the Garden” hoping to incorporate some of our favorite garden veggies, flowers, and grasses into this season’s Fall containers.

With that design inspiration and a plant list a mile long, our color team got to work bringing a taste of fall to our lovely clients! Here’s the Kinghorn Gardens twist on “A Scoop from the Garden” for Fall 2015:
